The X32Core mix engines are 40bit fixed, I think the M32 are the same. The Behringer remote soft is standalone too. Record and play back up to 32 tracks which run on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 operating systems or Mac computers via integrated USB 2.0. I use S16s i/o, and they sound ok to me, I'm used to the 896mk3/H sound, which is a bit less punchy IMPOV, I used these also for live mixing, but to prepare a show, I had to have a 896 attached to be able to program CuemixFX. Virtual soundchecks etc, all nice things that make my life easier. The M32 has better faders and then some.different preamps, but the firmware and software works for Behringer *and* Midas.
